Our Story

Born and raised in Colorado, I’ve always believed in lifting up my community through movement, mentorship, and athletics. I have been a personal trainer since 2000, and as both a former athlete and a coach for high school basketball and youth soccer, I know firsthand that the right guidance can change the trajectory of someone’s life - in sport and beyond. 

I built Langness Athletic Performance on a simple truth: Everyone is an athlete.

Whether you’re a competitive high-school player, a collegiate athlete pushing toward the next level, or an adult rebuilding strength and health, you deserve training that treats your body like the high-performance system it is. 

Too often, training programs only focus on pushing harder - more weight, more work, more sweat. But performance isn’t just about effort. It’s about precision. It’s about identifying imbalances, correcting dysfunctions, and building a foundation so the body can produce strength, power, speed, and durability without breaking down. If the body isn’t working efficiently, an athlete will never reach their full potential. My mission is to change that.

With over two decades of experience and a deep foundation in biomechanics and sport performance, I bring a science-driven and athlete-first approach to every program. My education and credentials include:

  • Master’s in Exercise Science — Injury Prevention, Performance Enhancement & Advanced Golf Performance
  • NASM Certifications: Master Trainer (MT), Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES), Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES), Certified Personal Trainer (CPT), Weight Loss Specialist (WLS), Behavior Change Specialist (BCS), Golf Fitness Specialist (GFS)
  • Brookbush Institute: Human Movement Specialist (HMS), CPT
  • Animal Flow Level 1 Coach
  • Contributing author for the latest NASM Golf Fitness Specialist certification

Every program at LAP blends evidence-based methods, athletic performance principles, and real-world coaching experience. We don’t guess. We measure. We evaluate movement, build individualized interventions, train with intention, and retest to ensure real progress.
